Fake MP Insignia Fraud Kharar: The Kharar police have booked a Delhi resident for impersonating as the legal advisor of Amritsar Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla. The accused, who allegedly runs an NGO in Delhi, was found drinking in a public area in Sunny Enclave, Kharar, on Monday late evening.

Fake MP Sticker and Insignia Flag Found on Vehicle

According to police reports:

The accused was accompanied by three others in a white Ford Endeavour (HR-26-ED-0322).
The vehicle displayed a red ‘Member of Parliament’ sticker on the bonnet.
An Insignia flag was also installed, further adding to the impersonation.

Police Verification Exposed the Impersonation

A police team led by ASI Jaswinder Singh confronted the accused. He falsely claimed to be the legal advisor of Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla. However, when the police cross-checked with Aujla, the MP denied any association with the individual.

Case Registered, Search for Accused Underway
The Sadar Kharar police have launched a manhunt to trace the accused. “We have registered the case and will soon apprehend him,” a police officer confirmed.
