Burger Singh Funding: Tipping Mr Pink, the parent company of Burger Singh, has raised an undisclosed amount in its pre-Series B funding round, pushing its valuation to $52 million. The round was led by Turner Morrison Ltd, with participation from notable investors such as Homage Ventures LLP (Aditya Ghosh’s family office), RB Investments (Rajesh Bothra’s family office), Vikramaditya Mohan Thapar family trust, VM Salgaocar & Brother’s Family Office, and Sunjay Kapur’s family office.
Key Investors Back Burger Singh’s Expansion
Existing investors such as The Convergence Foundation’s CEO Ashish Dhawan, Negen Capital, singer Jasleen Royal, actor Rannvijay Singh, Rukkam Capital, Ashvin Chadha (co-founder of Anicut Capital), Mumbai Angels, and Lest Ventures also participated in this round.
Burger Singh’s Growth and Expansion Plans
Burger Singh currently operates over 150 stores across India, with a presence in cities such as Shillong, Guwahati, and Jammu. The brand plans to expand further in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, solidifying its position as India’s third-largest burger chain.
The company is projected to close the financial year with $18 million in QSR sales.
The ‘Burger Singh Express’ Model
A key highlight of Burger Singh’s expansion strategy is its “Burger Singh Express” kiosks, which require minimal space (100 square feet) and only an electrical connection. These kiosks eliminate high rental and infrastructure costs, allowing franchisees to achieve faster ROI.
In the next 60 days, the company plans to deploy 15 kiosks at Delhi metro stations, followed by expansion into universities, malls, hospitals, and airports.
Gearing Up for a $10 Million Fundraising Round
Following this successful pre-Series B round, Burger Singh is preparing for a $10 million fundraising round in December 2024. This move will further fuel its growth and innovation in the QSR sector, ensuring its long-term dominance in the Indian burger market.
